Call for Submissions
Our magazine, Majalah Bahasa.FR (majalah = “magazine”, bahasa = “language”), is dedicated to learners of the Indonesian language and highlights the real, natural, and living use of Indonesian in everyday life. We warmly welcome a wide range of contributions that reflect the richness of Indonesian culture and encourage authentic language practice.
We invite writers, teachers, advanced learners, and anyone passionate about creative expression to submit their work for possible publication in our upcoming issues.
Accepted Themes
We remain open to a broad variety of topics, including:
- scenes from daily life in Indonesia
- personal experiences or stories inspired by real events
- culture, traditions, arts, and society
- travel, portraits, places, and encounters
- poetry, micro‑fiction, short stories
- creative texts designed to enrich language learning
Any topic is welcome, as long as it helps illustrate the natural use of Indonesian.
Submission Guidelines
To ensure editorial consistency, please follow these criteria:
- The text must be original and unpublished elsewhere
- Written in Indonesian, using a natural and authentic level suitable for learners
- Recommended length: 300 to 1,200 words
- Indicate the intended reader proficiency level, using the CEFR scale (A1 to C2). This helps our editorial team classify your text and ensure it is accessible to the appropriate audience of Indonesian‑language learners.
- Accepted genres: poetry, short stories, personal narratives, cultural articles, creative texts
- Submit your manuscript in .docx or .pdf format
- Include your name or pen name, and an optional short bio
Publication Conditions
At the moment, we are unable to offer financial compensation. However, contributors whose work is selected will receive a free copy of the magazine issue in which their text appears.
